The Weekly Hook-up

So there's not a whole lot of variety in this week's hook-up. So here it is:

I've made lots of candy corn hats in different sizes to sell on my Facebook page.


These Minnie Mouse hats are becoming a customer favorite.



And finally , a very pretty bonnet made from hand-dyed, handspun yarn from The Fine Lime.

The Weekly Hook-up: What I've been doing for the last 4 weeks.

Ok so the "Weekly" Hook-up turned into a "monthly" thing this time around. It's late and I have a hat I need to finish up so I will just post pictures of everything since my last post with a small description.

Here are some Halloween/Fall items that I made for a customer. The nice lady who ordered these items actually does the cutest appliqued shirts. Check out her page here: Taylors Trunk.


I actually have 3 of these really cute Candy Corn bows made and for sale on my Facebook page. If you'd like to order just head over to my page and comment with SOLD under the picture. They are available on your choice of an alligator clip or an elastic headband in any size. Next is this cute monkey hat I tested for Simplistic by Sondra (Click on her name to visit her FB page of awesome crochet patterns). I decided to make mine in Halloween colors for the upcoming holiday.


Mickey and Minnie hats have been a huge hit! The 2 Minnie hats were a customer order but the Mickey & Minnie set shown below are available on my Facebook page.


Here is a customer order that I just LOVE! When I first saw the pattern at Boomer Beanies, I knew I had to have it, I will DEFINITELY be making some more of these!


Of course, if you know me, you know that I have been a breastfeeding mommy for almost 14 months now. These hats are very popular in the breastfeeding world. But don't just limit them to us nursing mommies. These are great for breast cancer awareness and make great comical gifts, too. There's ordering information for these on my Etsy page.


Now if you live in Eastern North Carolina like we do, you HAVE to be a Pirate fan. Here's just two of the MANY hats I've done like these. That adorable skull & crossbones pattern is from Everlaughter.


Well that's all of the projects I've been working on for the last 4 weeks. I have already been busy this week and will try to stay on schedule by posting on Sunday...I said "try"...I can't make any promises, though. So for now, I will leave you with my little (reluctant) hat model:

CLOSED!! Kristin's Kreations 3,000 Fan Celebration!

I have finally made it to 3,000 fans on my Facebook business page Kristin's Kreations! I never thought I would acquire such a large fan base in only 2 years. Thank you to everyone who has become a fan of my page and my "yarny" creations. I am hoping to improve on my work and get a lot more done. Of course, children and life in general tends to happen so I may get behind on my work, but thank you for understanding. I started this little venture as a way to show everyone what I could do with a hook and yarn, then sold a few items and decided it would be a nice way to bring in some extra money to help out with household necessities. I hope you will all stick with me to see what new items I will make in the future.

To celebrate this milestone of reaching this many fans, I have decided to host a small giveaway. Granted it's not a huge one, but I have never done a giveaway. Once I reach 3,200 fans I will close the giveaway and pick three winners. If I don't reach 3,200 fans by October 15 I will go ahead and close it then, since the prizes are Halloween-related.
