Birchbox: October 2013

It's time for another Birchbox. If you are unfamiliar with Birchbox, this is a monthly subscription service that is $10.00/month and you get full and sample size beauty products.

So let's see what came in this month's box...

12 Benefits Instant Healthy Hair Treatment ($4.75 value): this hair treatment detangles, protects, and heals damaged hair.

Evologie Stay Clear Cream ($20.46 value): this moisturizer helps protect skin and balances oil levels. I've already tried it out and it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy at all.

Supergoop! City Sunscreen Serum ($5.00 value): this SPF 30 has anti-aging properties and can be used as your makeup primer.

theBalm cosmetics Stainiac in Beauty Queen ($2.27 value): this subtle stain is great hint of color for lips or cheeks.

ChapStick Hydration Lock ($2.99 value): this is the Birchbox Find for this month. It boasts that it provides 8 hours of moisture, which I can vouch for since I use it every night before bed and wake up with it still on and working!

This month's Birchbox comes up to a total value of $35.47 which is over 3 times the subscription cost! This is my third month with Birchbox and so far I can't really complain. Julep Maven: October 2013

I was quite surprised when my Julep Maven box arrived on October 1...wow they are on top of things! This month's theme at Julep is "The Rebel Set: A Collection to Light Up Your Dark Side". I instantly fell in love with all three colors as soon as I opened the box.

How did Julep know I LOVE candy corn??!!

Ciara ($14.00): vampy magenta with teal microglitter. This color is so pretty. It's hard to see the actual color on my nail in the picture below, but you can see it a little better in the background.

Missy ($14.00 value): titanium metallic. This chrome-like polish is so bright and sparkly. Pictures don't do it justice.

Kendra ($14.00 value): army green frost. I think this is my favorite of the three this month. I am loving dark colors for fall. In the picture this one looks black, because I just wasn't able to capture it on camera. Even though the description says it's an army green, in my opinion it almost looks dark brownish with some gold glitter. Even if you're not subscribed as a Maven, I recommend this one even as a single purchase.

Totaled up without the cost of the small pack of candy corn, this box has a value of $42.00 which is a bit over twice as much as the $19.99 monthly subscription price. E-sentials: September 2013

I hope you are all having a great day. Today I am reviewing a fairly new subscription box service called E-sentials. This is a monthly subscription service for women that provides hygiene necessities. There are three different pacages. For $10.00/month you get your choice of 20 tampons and/or pads. For $13.00/month you can get the tampon/pads assortment along with 3 disposable razors. And for $16.00/month, you get all the previous mentioned items along with your choice of deodorant. I'd say that's a pretty good price for the convenience of having your necessities there when you need them. I did receive a complimentary box for review purposes, so let's take a look at what was in my box.

I don't know if these wipes are an extra or if they are normally in boxes but they're nice to have around.

As far as the box goes, I didn't add up the cost of the items, but I believe it at least equals out if the box isn't a better value. Graze Box: week of 9/23/2013

I received my most recent Graze box a few weeks ago. Graze is a subscription service in which you receive four nutritious snacks. How often you receive your boxes is all up to you. The cost is only $5.00/box and shipping is always free. At the moment I've opted to receive my Graze box every four weeks but I think I may change that to weekly pretty soon.



Here's what came in this box...

Garden of England: dried fruit mix of mini strawberries, apples, and black currants.



Omega Booster Seeds: a mix of sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and golden flax seeds.



Boston Baguettes: BBQ relish with tomato breadsticks.



Fruit and Seed Flapjack: very similar to a granola bar, but with a cake-like texture with rolled oats, mixed seeds, and dried fruits.
