Here is this past week in my little world of hooks and yarn!
I didn't get quite as many things made since it was Thanksgiving. I decided to take a couple of days off from customer orders to relax with family. Here are the customer orders I were able to get done:
I also finished up these newborn chunky hats a few minutes ago. The white yarn has a bit of sparkle in them as do the snowflake buttons. They are for sale on my Facebook page.
On to the last project that I want to share from this week. First, a little bit of history on why I made it. I am a Carolina girl...I was born and raised in Charleston, SC. When you are from South Carolina or live there, you have this one day out of the year when you are one of two things: a Tiger or a Gamecock. Win or lose, I am proud to be a Clemson Tiger fan! Each year the two teams face off in football for what has been dubbed the "Palmetto Bowl". This year I decided to make a little something for my smallest Tiger. Here he is in his custom crocheted football helmet. If you are interested in ordering, you can visit my Facebook page and just shoot me a message on there. I am not limited to Clemson. I can make them in different sizes and team colors. I can also add the paw, a fleur-de-lis for you Saints fans, the skull & crossbones for all of you Pirate fans, or the "G" for you GA Bulldog and Green Bay fans. If you need something other than those, I will do my best to see what I can come up with.
So that is my week in crochet. I am hoping to get about twice as much done this week. I will leave you this week with pictures of my little Tiger.
This started out as an outlet to show off my crochet work but hopefully I can transform it into a place where you can not only see my yarn projects but my other adventures in life as well!

The Weekly Hook-up
It's that time again...time for another edition of The Weekly Hook-up. I've been pretty busy lately trying to get projects made for the upcoming holidays. Here's a quick look at what I've been up to.
I tested this Chunky Monkey hat pattern for Bizee B Boutique:

Normally I would have sold this, but I decided that this should be MY little monkey's winter hat this season.
I love how cute this train hat turned out that I made for a customer:
The pattern for this hat can be found on the bubnut Etsy page.
I was able to get all of these Christmas hats made in one night.
.
I love this pattern from Inner Hooker. It uses chunky yarn so it works up extremely quickly. Speaking of Inner Hooker, you should head over and check out her blog, The Oxford Family. If you're interested in any of these Christmas hats, there are still a few left on my Kristin's Kreations Facebook page.
I couldn't get by Thanksgiving without trying out one of these really cute turkey earflap hats from Crochet Creations by Steph.
.
I was also able to test a couple of headband patterns for The Perfect Knot:
. All of these are for sale on my Facebook page, too.
And here are some more customer orders from the week:
So that's what I've been up to this week in my little world of hooks 'n yarn. I will leave you with a picture of my oldest and youngest "turkeys". I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

The Weekly Hook-up (from the last 6 weeks)
So I haven't posted anything for The Weekly Hook-up for over a month now. So here's a quick pictorial run-down of everything I've made:
I've made lots of these pumpkin hats in different sizes. I still have a few for sale on my Facebook.
Here's a scarf I tested for Creations by Valorie. I used a silk/bamboo blend yarn for mine and just love the way it feels.

I've had even more requests for these purple/gold pirate hats so I thought I would do a mini "photo shoot" with my littlest guy wearing his. Check out his Pirate spirit!

Here's a few items that I made using some fall-colored handspun yarn from Hogg Wild Fibers
These next few projects were made using a bundle of candy corn handspun yarn from Monique's Craft Corner
I found some soy/wool blend yarn laying around and loved the colors so I used it to make this cowl by Creations by Valorie
Here are some chunky Santa hats that I think are just adorable. I had a friend ask me to make one so I decided to do some extra ones for my Etsy. They have not made it to the Etsy shop yet but I am hoping to get them posted this week. The pattern for these is available at JTEasyCrochet

Here's a scarf that I recently tested for The Perfect Knot. It's pretty short so I think that I may just sell it as a child's scarf.

The Weekly Hook-up
So there's not a whole lot of variety in this week's hook-up. So here it is:
I've made lots of candy corn hats in different sizes to sell on my Facebook page.

These Minnie Mouse hats are becoming a customer favorite.
And finally , a very pretty bonnet made from hand-dyed, handspun yarn from The Fine Lime.
I will leave you with a picture of my little cutie modeling one those candy corn hats...

The Weekly Hook-up: What I've been doing for the last 4 weeks.
Ok so the "Weekly" Hook-up turned into a "monthly" thing this time around. It's late and I have a hat I need to finish up so I will just post pictures of everything since my last post with a small description.
Here are some Halloween/Fall items that I made for a customer. The nice lady who ordered these items actually does the cutest appliqued shirts. Check out her page here: Taylors Trunk.

I actually have 3 of these really cute Candy Corn bows made and for sale on my Facebook page. If you'd like to order just head over to my page and comment with SOLD under the picture. They are available on your choice of an alligator clip or an elastic headband in any size. Of course, if you enter my 3,000 Fan Celebration you have a chance to win one along with the chance to win a Candy Corn hat or a coupon code to my Etsy shop. If you are a crocheter like me and you just want the instructions on how to make this cute little bow, then visit the Oodles4Noodles blog.
Here's a set of bamboo dishtowels I made for my sister-in-law. I made them to match a set of bamboo dishcloths I had made for her and my brother-in-law when they got married. Here's my Etsy listing for the dishcloths if interested: Bamboo dishcloths.
.
Next is this cute monkey hat I tested for Simplistic by Sondra (Click on her name to visit her FB page of awesome crochet patterns). I decided to make mine in Halloween colors for the upcoming holiday.

Mickey and Minnie hats have been a huge hit! The 2 Minnie hats were a customer order but the Mickey & Minnie set shown below are available on my Facebook page.

Here is a customer order that I just LOVE! When I first saw the pattern at Boomer Beanies, I knew I had to have it, I will DEFINITELY be making some more of these!

Of course, if you know me, you know that I have been a breastfeeding mommy for almost 14 months now. These hats are very popular in the breastfeeding world. But don't just limit them to us nursing mommies. These are great for breast cancer awareness and make great comical gifts, too. There's ordering information for these on my Etsy page.

Now if you live in Eastern North Carolina like we do, you HAVE to be a Pirate fan. Here's just two of the MANY hats I've done like these. That adorable skull & crossbones pattern is from Everlaughter.

Well that's all of the projects I've been working on for the last 4 weeks. I have already been busy this week and will try to stay on schedule by posting on Sunday...I said "try"...I can't make any promises, though. So for now, I will leave you with my little (reluctant) hat model:
